"One Year Six Months" - Yellowcard I ran away from this weekend so that the memories wouldn't know where to follow me. I drove and drove and distracted myself from yet another day of celebration that passed me by without the both of you. The holidays were tough, March came and went in a hurry, but by far I know now that the hardest time of all are the few days leading up to the 4th of July. I used to spend it a certain way every year, but this year I decided not to be here for it. I know that things can change in a heartbeat, but I made a promise to myself to follow my instinct on this one and this is why I had to leave even if only for a night. I couldn't be here and risk going against my "good advice" to take the familiar route to a familiar house filled with a past that I used to see as my future. I couldn't put myself in a position that would make it hard for me to stay and even harder for me to walk away. That's your job and my right to have you...
A song pops up in my head in bed, carrying with it a memory that may not always be described in words. So the music in it of itself allows me to tell my stories. This is my writer's pen. This is my '3' and my 'M'. This is my passion in life; my blog; my light and though it may occasionally lose its shine, it will never completely leave me in the dark.
