"Realize" - Colbie Caillat Funny how some songs come and go, until you have a reason to stop and pay attention. I always liked the sound of this song because it reminded me of Norah Jones' music: simple and mellow. Come to think of it, that's how I reacted to Norah's Come Away With Me . It played a few times and I was like, "Eh, it's alright." Then somewhere down the line, it got in a little. Now (just like this one will eventually become) it's my "bubble bath." Something that relaxes me and makes me think about everything and everyone. The people that came and went in and out of my life (like these songs have done in the past)...what they meant to me then and how some still manage to get in a little now... It's been a trying experience to say the least. But I guess as Colbie states here, "If you would meet me halfway, it could be the same for you." Obviously, those that aren't with me anymore by choice couldn't do...
A song pops up in my head in bed, carrying with it a memory that may not always be described in words. So the music in it of itself allows me to tell my stories. This is my writer's pen. This is my '3' and my 'M'. This is my passion in life; my blog; my light and though it may occasionally lose its shine, it will never completely leave me in the dark.
