It's been ions dear blog. How I've missed you so. But what better way to start up again now that I have a new IPOD. Over 100+ songs and hours upon hours of playtime and yet the only song I put on repeat is this one. But who am I kidding, I love wearing songs out because why play others when I keep singing the same tune? The lyrics aren't complicated at all so I just play it because it's catchy. Go figure...Maybe it's because I'm still learning how to use this lil' gadget. Or maybe I just can't help myself.
I'm re-exploring more country even if this may be considered more mainstream. I guess I can only do "happy" songs for so long until I finally get fed up and go back to more sappy, lovey-dovey, ooey-gooey, can't get enough of...sad songs. Songs that make you urn. Is there a message behind this? Funny, after a call I got today you'd think so. But...y'know, no.
Lyrics:
Picture perfect memories scattered all around the floor
Reachin for the phone cause I can't fight it anymore
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind
For me it happens all the time
It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now
Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now
And I don't know how I can do without
I just need you now
Another shot of whiskey can't stop looking at the door
Wishing you'd come sweeping in the way you did before
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind
For me it happens all the time
It's a quarter after one, I'm a little drunk and I need you now
Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now
And I don't know how I can do without
I just need you now
Guess I'd rather hurt than feel nothin at all
It's a quarter after one I'm all alone and I need you now
And I said I wouldn't call but I'm a little drunk and I need you now
And I don't know how I can do without
I just need you now
I just need you now
Ooo, baby, I need you now
